We had a lovely relaxing weekend in the Retreat cabin, love the retro theme. Cabin was warm and cozy and the hot tub was hot and clean. We will definitely be back!
I came here with another mom from Toronto, and we brought both of our kids, who are students at St. FX, here for a weekend retreat. It was just what the doctor ordered. The beds were so comfortable and perfect for sleeping late and relaxing. The hot tub was marvellous and such a treat for us all. The layout of the cottage is great, and all the amenities were as promised. It's just far enough outside of Antigonish that it felt like a getaway, but close enough to go in for a meal out. High recommend!
This was our second stay at this property but the first time staying at the Retreat Lodge. Although this lodge looks smaller compared to the other lodges on the property, the Retreat Lodge is very spacious. We loved the retro kitchen. The fireplace was very cozy for our January stay. Hopefully we can return again in the near future. We rate everything about this property with 5 Stars!!
My husband and I stayed at the Retreat for four nights. and celebrated our 14th anniversary while there. I don't think we could have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect: cleanliness, decor, attention to detail, appliances, the retro vibe. The bed was the so comfortable that we did not wake up with sore backs!
This cabin was even better than the pictures—cozy, inviting, and well-appointed. The beds were super comfortable, and the hot tub was clean and hot. The host went above and beyond, even bringing us coffee grinds when we forgot ours. A peaceful spot on a beautiful lake—we’ll definitely be back!
